Picture Post!

Cake Ideas!

Alex LOVES cheesecake and Auburn so we're going to try and combine the two.

I love the tree one the best, but I don't know if I could find a baker who could recreate that. I also like the simple criss-cross white one, but I'd use green orchids.

First post!

I decided to create a wedding blog because I love reading everyone elses! It's a great place to brainstorm and come up with ideas. So on my first post, I'll put what I have so far. Unlike some brides who seem to have everything planned to the detail two years in advance... I think its a little crazy to start planning that early. So I'm just now starting and I still feel like I've started early!

Colors - Chocolate brown, green, and cream w/ accents of light pink in flowers
Flowers - Hydrangeas, mums, and dahlias mainly
Dress - Maggie Sottero Dallas Marie (Don't worry, Alex doesn't get on the internet... and he's already seen the dress once a long time ago but doesn't remember, and he's seen a picture. But I could care less, I don't believe in superstitions or care about surprises)
BM dresses - Most likely tea-length chocolate brown dresses in satin
Venue - Our church
Cake - I've saved a few ideas. Too early for that.
Food - Southern/Gulf Coast vibe. Not sure what I want to have yet, but it'll be just appetizer/finger food.
Drinks - Probably just sweet tea and limeade/lemonade. My family is mostly Southern Baptist... they'd fall over and die if I had ANY kind of alcohol
Entertainment - We're not having a DJ (see above, southern baptist... dancing is apparentily not allowed?) but we'll probably do a first dance. I'm fond of "My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw, but I have plenty of time to change my mind.
Favors - Caramel and candy apples
Centerpieces - I have a few ideas I'm considering. If I can somehow convince Alex and my mom that pumpkins are not tacky for a FALL wedding. I'll show pictures later of what I was considering.
Other decor - I'm thinking chocolate brown linens and cream overlays
